Something
About me

Hi there! I'm Lillian, a Mexican artist of German descent currently based in Abu Dhabi. My choreographic expressions come to life through immersive laboratories where I blend body, somatics, sounds, and imagery. In my creative process, I love to explore the interplay between the senses, action, and reactivity, building captivating worlds that engage and enchant. Drawing inspiration from philosophical and social themes, my artistic practice delves into improvisation, inviting a myriad of interpretations from the audience. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Contemporary Dance, and I've danced my way across Europe and Latin America, enriching my craft through diverse experiences. Beyond dance, my deep understanding of bodily movements is enhanced by extensive training in Pilates, Yoga, and somatics. As the Lead Teacher in a Classical Pilates Teacher Training program in Abu Dhabi, I'm a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT) and a Level 2 UAE Reps instructor. With over 800 hours of comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training under my belt, I specialize in Neurorehabilitation and Pathokinesiology of the lumbar spine. I'm also a certified Yoga instructor in Ashtanga, Hatha Vinyasa, and Trauma-informed Yoga, and a Level 2 Franklin Method Educator. My passion for holistic movement practices and education drives me to continually explore and expand my knowledge. Through my multifaceted journey in dance and movement education, I strive to seamlessly intertwine creativity and somatic awareness, leaving an indelible mark on the cultural and artistic landscape. Let's move, explore, and create together!

what moves you?

Reflecting on what moves people is both fascinating and complex. It’s a question that Pina Bausch, the legendary choreographer, explored deeply with her dancers. She wasn’t just asking about physical movement but delving into the emotional, psychological, and existential forces that drive us.

Viktor Frankl, in his seminal book “Man’s Search for Meaning,” also tackled this question. He believed that finding purpose is essential, even in the toughest times. According to Frankl, understanding our purpose can transform our lives, providing direction and resilience.

For me, combining these perspectives sheds light on what moves us. It often comes from a deep need to connect with others, find meaning in our experiences, and pursue our passions. Bausch’s dancers moved from their emotions and stories, much like Frankl’s patients drew strength from their sense of purpose.

mission

I am an experimental performing artist and movement educator with a weird  blend of Mexican roots and German precision. I’ve spent over 25 years in the world of movement, from classical Pilates and yoga to daring gymnastic hand balances.

My mission as a teacher? To create inclusive spaces where movement isn’t just exercise, but a profound connection of mind, body, and spirit.

On stage, I’ve danced my way through Mexico, Bolivia, Ecuador, Germany, Austria, Hungary, and now the Middle East, inspired in geometry, philosophy, and a somatic approach to create my choreographic work. Intrigued by new media and technology, I constantly push the boundaries of what’s possible in performance, always keeping the human body at the core.
